Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) Cat

Gus the Cat needs a home

Please contact Dan ([email protected]) for more information about this pet.

Gus is a very sweet black kitty born in November 2016.  He gets along great with other cats and kittens and even likes friendly dogs.  He’s fine with adults and children and likes to snuggle and be close.  Gus can be quite playful and he loves to run up and down the cat trees – either by himself or chasing another kitty.  Gus has a cloudy eye, which our veterinarian thinks was caused by Hypopyon.  Gus was treated for this condition with special eye drops several months ago and his eye hasn’t changed since then, with no further treatment needed.  He can still see out of the eye; it isn’t painful or bothersome, it doesn’t weep, and it doesn’t hinder his mobility whatsoever.  Our sweet boy also has a slight head tilt and it’s a mystery as to why.  It doesn’t affect his gait or balance or his ability to race through the house in hot pursuit of his playmates or the laser light.  It’s amazing how animals takes these kinds of so-called “shortcomings” in stride.  He has been neutered, has tested negative for Felv and FIV, is current on his vaccinations and has an identification micro-chip. If you are interested in adopting Gus, please fill out the cat consultation form (on the website www.desertpawsrescue.org)  or email [email protected].
